Beef Labeling Systems

 

The control concept is based on the legal frame rules of Regulation (EC) 1760/2000 and on Regulation (EC) No 1825/2000 (Implementing Regulation). The controls include verification of compliance with the statutory requirements, established under the ORGAINVENT specification vertices. The aim of the control concept is the function of the labeling system to ensure the entire value chain of beef, which are derived from  the following sub-goals:

 

1. The accuracy of the information on the label is to ensure each marketing stage (uniqueness).


2. The label gives information about the kind of the good and related claims  (identification).


3. The label or an adequate labeling must be traceable in regard of each process step and has to remain with the goods (traceability).


4. The registration system installed in the company allows a comparison of the inflows and outflows (plausibility input-output) at any time.
